about

wild mountain thyme: the evolution of the anglo-american folk ballad.

in this podcast, i tell the story of the evolution of the english-scots-irish folk ballad, as it made its way across the ocean from england, scotland and ireland to north america. these ballads were passed down through generations, and changed alongside us. join me as i follow the journey of the anglo-american folk ballad, through the lens of my own experiences as a folksinger and lover of history. thanks for listening!

there will be further installments, delving deeper into certain ballads and songs, coming soon!

may you be blessed with song and laughter!
